Al Orouba Club was founded in 1972 and registered on 26/6/2002. It is one of the greatest clubs in the Sultanate and one of the strongest clubs competing for the Omani League title, Cup, Elite League shield and Championship shield. It is also considered as one of the main tributaries for the national teams whether the first national team or other age groups teams which represent the Sultanate in the international events.
Sheikh Salem Bin Saed Al Fannah Al Araimi is one of the main supporters of Al Orouba Club as he supported the Club throughout all its achievements. He is one of the most notable sports figures in the Sultanate. He chaired them management Omani Football Association from 1994 to 1995. He was also the chairman of the management of AL Arabawy Club.
